Maureen FitzSimons, better known as Maureen O'Hara in America, was an exceptional child. This was a very natural characteristic for a girl of Irish descent, that was surrounded during the beginning by gifted family members as well as parents. Maureen was welcomed into the family-oriented home on the 17th of August 20 in Ranelagh. Marguerita FitzSimons' mom, Lilburn, was a contralto. Her father, Charles FitzSimons, managed an enterprise in Dublin and also owned part of the well-known Irish soccer team "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen was the second child of six FitzSimons children. Peggy, Florrie, Charles B. Fitzsimons, Margot Fitzsimons and James O'Hara completed this beautiful family. Maureen was a fan of rough sports as young and became very adept at them. Additionally her talent, she also had a knack for acting. She took home almost all Feis Award for Theater and Drama the country could provide. The Abbey Theater was her first choice. Abbey Theater by age 14 She then was able to fulfill her goals of opera as well as classical theater and singing.
