Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California. The most junior and sole daughter of Richard McCormick. Her father taught in the school system, and her mother was home-based mom. There are three brothers older than her: Michael, Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began singing and performing from an early age. She also entertained neighborhood kids. At the tender age of six, she won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. This led her to get a phone message from Pat Domigan at the Jack Wormser Agency to inquire whether she would like to pursue an employment within the entertainment business. McCormick was chosen to play her first role of note in 1964. McCormick appeared in a Mattel commercial that starred the doll Baby Pattaburp. The next big project she was a part of was a television commercial for "Chatty" Cathy doll. The musical The Wind It And It breaks was staged at La Jolla Playhouse and was subsequently followed. "The Brady Bunch' In 1969, McCormick was chosen from an audience of 1200 kids that auditioned to be the eldest of three towheaded daughters in the brand new TV show The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds and the family of a blended couple. The show ran for five years and the show proved to be a huge successful one. McCormick, in her book Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice released in 2008, revealed that, during the 5th season, McCormick almost lost her relationship with her brother Barry Williams. The actress was sixteen years old and the actor was 19, at that time. It would have been possible as she explained. "But the time for us wasn't just right."
